Requests from authorities

How to serve a request on Hypefox AB, and what to include so it can be acted on without a second exchange.
Emergencies
If a life is at risk, mark the request as an emergency and also email contact@hypefox.net, in case this form fails. Say which service it concerns.
Choose emergency only if someone's life is at risk.
We reply to this address, so check it before sending.
The law, order or decision the request is made under, and the issuing body. Leave blank if you are making contact first.
IP addresses, domains, account names or timestamps. Give the time zone with any timestamp.

We are unable to cooperate directly with foreign authorities, for the privacy of our customers.

We use what you send only to answer you.

What to include

A request with these in it can be acted on as it arrives. One without them takes an exchange of letters first.
  • Which service the request concerns. What we hold depends entirely on that: a container, a virtual machine, an address on our network and an account on one of our platforms each leave different records, and some of what you are looking for sits with the customer running the service rather than with us. We will tell you which of the two you are dealing with.
  • The issuing authority or court, and a case or reference number.
  • The legal basis: the provision, order or decision the request is made under.
  • What the request concerns, as identifiers we can look up: IP addresses, domains, account names or timestamps, always with a time zone.
  • What you are asking us to do, and by when.
  • A named contact and an official address we can reply to. We answer requests from an official domain, not from personal accounts.
  • The formal request can follow as a document, password-protected if you prefer, sent to contact@hypefox.net once we have replied. Send the password separately, in a second message.
  • Requests are accepted in Swedish or English.
